Why we built this
Millions of people go years without a basic vision check simply because booking an appointment feels like a bigger task than it should be. At the same time, clinics and organizations running vision screenings at scale are often stuck with paper charts and manual record-keeping.
Sightyness was built to solve both problems: a fast, clear self-screening experience for individuals, and a proper digital toolkit — patient verification, usage tracking, billing, and reporting — for the clinics and organizations that screen many people at once.
What we test
Our screening suite covers four areas used in real eye examinations: Visual Acuity (the classic Snellen chart), Near Vision (the Jaeger reading scale), Contrast Sensitivity, and Colour Vision (Ishihara-style plates). Each test is adapted for accurate at-home use, including camera-based distance calibration so letters are sized correctly for wherever you're sitting.
Privacy first
Your camera is used only for on-device verification and distance calibration. Recordings are optional, consented, and auto-deleted after 90 days.
Screening, not diagnosis
Sightyness is a screening tool, not a replacement for a comprehensive eye exam. We're upfront about that on every results page.
Built to be fast
No downloads, no appointments. Register, verify, test, and get your results in one sitting.
Built for clinics too
Corporate and clinic clients get patient verification, usage dashboards, and automatic reporting built in.
